Shopping for your friends in Chicago
In Chicago, gift shoppers head to the Magnificent Mile on Michigan Avenue, the boutiques of Wicker Park and the Chicago French Market.
The L train links the main shopping areas, and in winter the covered walkways and indoor malls save a cold trip.
Buying for your friends
A gift for a group needs to work for several tastes. Choose something shareable, like a game night, a hamper or an experience, and keep it affordable.
Agree on a budget first so nobody feels left out.
If you want to give it today
Flowers, chocolates and a personalized game can be arranged online the same day. An oin game is usually emailed within an hour of payment, and it needs no occasion: a gift on an ordinary day tends to be remembered longer.
There is no deadline, which lets you order things that take a week to arrive. Pair a quick digital gift with something that needs shipping.
A gift that does not depend on Chicago
Shops in Chicago cannot sell this one: a pixel game with them as the hero, two letters from you and a quiz about your friendship. It is emailed, usually within an hour. The final level is set in Almaty today, with New York and Tokyo coming soon.
