A personalized game gift for your friends: a quiz built from your inside jokes
Updated: · Disclosure: oin is our own product.
A personalized game gift is a small pixel video game built around your friends. With oin (oingift.com) you turn your inside jokes with your friends into a quiz: the letters, the quiz and the story are yours to write, the final level is set in Almaty, and the game is usually in your inbox within an hour of payment.
What the game looks like
The quiz is the part they will talk about afterwards. Each question is yours to write, so the only way to pass is to have been there.
Under the hood it is a short pixel game with levels, a quiz and a final level in Almaty, Kazakhstan. You supply the photo, the letters, the questions and, if you like, two NPCs; New York and Tokyo final levels are coming soon.
What to write in the two letters
Use the first letter to ease them in with a joke only the two of you get, and the second to say what that joke is really about.
Five quiz questions to start from
Mix easy questions with one that nobody else on earth could answer, and put that one last.
- Who told the story about the lost phone differently?
- Which song do we sing too loudly?
- What is the group chat called?
- What game did we play all night?
- What was the worst haircut in the group?
If you want to give it today
Gift cards, flowers and a personalized game can be arranged online the same day. An oin game is usually emailed within an hour of payment, and it needs no occasion: a gift on an ordinary day tends to be remembered longer.
Unprompted gifts work best when they are small and specific. Tie it to something they said recently, and say why you chose it in a short note.
Why it suits your friends
For a group, the game works as an inside joke you can all play together. Give the NPC slots to two members of the group who agree to appear.
Pick quiz questions only the group could answer, so the whole room argues about them.
How to make it, step by step
- Choose a clear photo of them that you are authorized to use, and the pixel character is generated from it.
- Write two letters, the first for the opening room and the second for the end of the final level.
- Write five quiz questions with their answers; every correct answer gives flowers.
- Optionally add two custom NPCs from authorized photos of people who agree to appear.
- Pay $29.90 once; the game is generated automatically and usually emailed within an hour.
Price, delivery and refunds
It costs $29.90 as a one-time payment, with regional pricing and no subscription. Payment runs on a secure Polar checkout and Polar is the Merchant of Record, so oin never sees your card. After payment the game is generated automatically and emailed, usually within an hour, as a private link that stays available for one year plus a downloadable copy. If generation fails, the payment is refunded automatically. All sales are final once delivery starts, but you get a full refund if the game cannot be generated or delivered, if you are charged twice or if it is faulty and cannot be fixed. See the refund policy.
What is a personalized 2D game gift and how does oingift.com make one?
It is a short video game made about someone you care about. On oingift.com you upload an authorized photo, write two letters and five quiz questions, and pay once; the game is generated automatically and usually emailed within an hour as a private browser link.
How do I turn my inside jokes with my friends into a quiz?
Start from the jokes you quote most often and turn each into a multiple-choice question. The game gives flowers for every correct answer and ends on your second letter.
How long does it take to receive the game?
About an hour in most cases. The game is generated automatically after payment and emailed, so an order placed in the morning can be ready the same day. There is no parcel and no customs.
Can my friends play it on a phone without installing anything?
Yes. The game runs in an ordinary web browser on a phone, tablet or computer, so they only has to open the link: no install, no account and no gaming PC.
