A personalized game gift for your mom for her birthday: a last-minute gift that usually arrives within an hour
Updated: · Disclosure: oin is our own product.
To send your mom a gift that usually arrives within an hour for her birthday, give her a personalized 2D pixel game from oin (oingift.com). She becomes the main character, generated from an authorized photo, and your two letters and a 5-question quiz about your shared memories are built into the levels. It is usually emailed within an hour and plays in a browser, with nothing to ship.
What the game looks like
Most gifts need a head start. An oin game is generated automatically after payment, so it can be written, paid for and in her inbox the same day, with nothing to ship.
The story is built from what you fill in: an authorized photo for the main character, two letters, a 5-question quiz with flowers for correct answers and up to two custom NPCs. The final level is set in Almaty, Kazakhstan; New York and Tokyo are coming soon.
What to write in the two letters
Write the first letter about today and the second about what you want next, and keep both short enough to read standing up.
Five quiz questions to start from
Use the quiz to save time as well: the first five facts that come to mind about her are the right five.
- Which relative told the best story?
- Which holiday do we still talk about?
- Where was the first home I remember?
- Who always loses at the board game?
- What did we get wrong about the road trip?
If the birthday is tomorrow
Leaving it late is easy to fix: Gift cards, flowers and a personalized game arrive fast, and an oin game is usually emailed within an hour of payment. Add a cake or a card for the table.
Birthdays have a clock, so order anything that ships at least a week ahead and keep the digital gifts for the day itself. A card with a specific memory beats a long message.
Why it suits your mom
A mom will read every word, so write for that. Choose a photo she loves, tell the story of something she did for you, and make the quiz about family memories she will recognise.
Keep the controls simple: it opens from a link in a browser, so she does not need to install anything.
How to make it, step by step
- Upload an authorized photo of her; the main character is generated from it.
- Write the two letters: one opens the game, one closes the final level.
- Write five quiz questions with their answers; every correct answer gives flowers.
- Add up to two custom NPCs, friends or family, as long as everyone who appears agrees.
- Pay once, $29.90, with no subscription; the game is usually emailed within an hour.
Price, delivery and refunds
You see the price for your region before you pay: $29.90, once, with nothing to renew. The checkout is run by Polar, the Merchant of Record, and the game is generated automatically and usually emailed within an hour, with a private link that works for a year and a copy to keep. All sales are final once delivery starts, but you get a full refund if the game cannot be generated or delivered, if you are charged twice or if it is faulty and cannot be fixed. See the refund policy.
