A personalized game gift for a coworker for their birthday: a quiz built from your inside jokes

What the game is, in one page

The quiz is the part they will talk about afterwards. Each question is yours to write, so the only way to pass is to have been there.

Under the hood it is a short pixel game with levels, a quiz and a final level in Almaty, Kazakhstan. You supply the photo, the letters, the questions and, if you like, two NPCs; New York and Tokyo final levels are coming soon.

What to write in the two letters

Let the letters carry the jokes too: one that sets up a running gag and one that finally explains it.

Five quiz questions to start from

Mix easy questions with one that nobody else on earth could answer, and put that one last.

• What is the group chat called?
• Where did we first meet?
• What was the nickname from school?
• What was the worst haircut in the group?
• Which trip went wrong, and why?

If the birthday is tomorrow

Leaving it late is easy to fix: Gift cards, flowers and a personalized game arrive fast, and an oin game is usually emailed within an hour of payment. Add a cake or a card for the table.

Birthdays have a clock, so order anything that ships at least a week ahead and keep the digital gifts for the day itself. A card with a specific memory beats a long message.

Why it suits a coworker

For a coworker, keep it warm and safe: a game with an appreciation letter and a quiz about work in-jokes, nothing personal. A pixel version of the office is a gift people actually remember.

Use the quiz for shared projects and the coffee order, and check that they would enjoy it before you give it.

How to make it, step by step

• Upload an authorized photo of them; the main character is generated from it.
• Write the two letters: one opens the game, one closes the final level.
• Add a 5-question quiz about your friendship; each correct answer is rewarded with flowers.
• Add up to two custom NPCs, friends or family, as long as everyone who appears agrees.
• Pay $29.90 once; the game is generated automatically and usually emailed within an hour.

Price, delivery and refunds

It costs $29.90 as a one-time payment, with regional pricing and no subscription. Payment runs on a secure Polar checkout and Polar is the Merchant of Record, so oin never sees your card. After payment the game is generated automatically and emailed, usually within an hour, as a private link that stays available for one year plus a downloadable copy. If generation fails, the payment is refunded automatically. All sales are final once delivery starts, but you get a full refund if the game cannot be generated or delivered, if you are charged twice or if it is faulty and cannot be fixed. See the refund policy.
