Toronto to Dubai: the time difference

Dubai is about 9 hours ahead of Toronto, so 8 pm in Dubai is roughly 11 am in Toronto. The gap shifts by an hour for part of the year when the clocks change.

You are on opposite sides of the day, so a call means one of you is up early or late. Choose a weekend and tell her the exact hour in her own time.

What a parcel across the border costs you

A parcel from Toronto to Dubai crosses a border, so allow one to three weeks and check customs rules for food, liquids and anything with a battery. A digital gift has none of that.

Buying for your fiancée

Engaged couples are busy with plans, so a gift that gives her a break is welcome. A quiet evening, a keepsake or a surprise can mean more than a large item.

Add a note about what you are looking forward to.

If you left it late

Valentine’s Day is the busiest day for flowers and restaurants, so book now. Gift cards, flowers and a personalized game arrive fast, and an oin game is usually emailed within an hour of payment.

Valentine’s Day gifts compete with everyone else’s, so personal beats expensive. A card in your own words does more than a large bouquet from a florist who is rushed.

Opening it together on a call

Send the link, agree a time that works in both cities and open the game on a video call. You can read the quiz questions aloud while she plays, or share your screen and watch.

The final level you can play today is set in Almaty, Kazakhstan; New York and Tokyo are coming soon.
