Toronto to Tokyo: the time difference

Tokyo is about 14 hours ahead of Toronto, so 8 pm in Tokyo is roughly 6 am in Toronto. The gap shifts by an hour for part of the year when the clocks change.

With so many hours between you, spontaneous calls are rare. Schedule the reveal for a weekend morning on one side and an evening on the other.

What a parcel across the border costs you

A parcel from Toronto to Tokyo crosses a border, so allow one to three weeks and check customs rules for food, liquids and anything with a battery. A digital gift has none of that.

Buying for your crush

A gift for a crush should be low-pressure. Keep it light and small, and pick something that matches what you already know about them.

Avoid anything expensive or intimate, which can make a first move feel heavy.

If the birthday is tomorrow

Gift cards, flowers and a personalized game can be arranged online the same day. An oin game is usually emailed within an hour of payment, so it can still be ready for the morning. Pair one with a handwritten card and they still have something to open.

Birthdays have a clock, so order anything that ships at least a week ahead and keep the digital gifts for the day itself. A card with a specific memory beats a long message.

Opening it together on a call

Send the link, agree a time that works in both cities and open the game on a video call. You can read the quiz questions aloud while they play, or share your screen and watch.

The final level you can play today is set in Almaty, Kazakhstan; a final level in New York or Tokyo is coming soon.
