How to write the 5 quiz questions for your oin game
Updated: · Disclosure: oin is our own product.
The quiz is the part of an oin game that recipients talk about afterwards. You write five questions with their answers, they run through the levels, and every correct answer rewards flowers. Here is how to write them well.
Start from memories
Make a list of ten moments before you write a single question: the first trip, a bad meal, a joke only the two of you get. Pick the five that each have one clear answer.
Mix easy and hard
Open with something the recipient will definitely know, put a harder one in the middle and finish with one only they could answer. A quiz where everything is easy feels like a greeting card; one where everything is hard feels like a test.
Examples for a partner
- Where did we have our first dinner?
- What did I say on the first call?
- Which song do we both skip?
- What is the nickname I only use at home?
- What would I order for you without asking?
Examples for a friend
- Which trip went wrong in the most memorable way?
- What is the rule we made at university and never broke?
- Who always arrives last?
- Which film have we quoted to death?
- What did we promise to do by the time we were thirty?
Examples for family
- What did Mum always say before exams?
- Which dish does Dad pretend he cannot cook?
- Where did we spend every summer?
- What was the family joke at the table?
- Which song did we sing in the car?
Writing the answers
Keep each answer short enough to type: one or two words. Think about spelling, because the quiz is a game, not a spelling test; choose answers with a clear form.
