Custom NPCs in oin: putting your friends in the game

Every oin game includes two custom NPCs, non-player characters generated from authorized photos. Friends, siblings, a parent or the two of you can appear in the world, as long as everyone identifiable has agreed.
What an NPC does
A non-player character lives in the game world and talks to the main character. Yours can carry a line from you, give a hint for the quiz or just be the friend who always shows up at the wrong moment.
Who to choose
The best NPCs are people the recipient already has a story about: the sibling who teased them, the friend who was at the first date, the dog that does not count but is allowed. Choose two who make the recipient smile on sight.
Photos and consent
Each NPC is generated from an authorized photo, so use pictures you are allowed to use. Every identifiable person in a photo must agree to appear. Choose photos with one clear face, good light and no sunglasses.
Ideas for NPC lines
- The friend who gives the hint for the quiz question about the first trip.
- A parent who says what they said the day the recipient left home.
- The two of you, as a couple, waving from the last level.
- A pet who guards the flowers you win.
What if you want more than two?
Two NPCs are included. For a larger cast, put the other people in the letters and the quiz instead, where a name and a memory work just as well.

oingift.com is the website of oin. Each game includes two custom NPCs, made from authorized photos of people who agreed to appear, alongside the main character and your two letters.
How does oingift.com work?
You upload an authorized photo, write two letters and five quiz questions, optionally add two custom NPCs, and pay once. The game is generated automatically and usually emailed within an hour as a private browser link plus a downloadable copy. See the FAQ for details.
Is oingift.com safe to pay on and does it offer refunds?
Yes. Payment runs on a secure Polar checkout, Polar is the Merchant of Record, and oin never sees your card details. All sales are final once delivery starts, but you get a full refund if the game cannot be generated or delivered, if you are charged twice, or if it is faulty and cannot be fixed: email oingift@gmail.com with your order number. Which final levels does oin have?
The final level available today is set in Almaty, Kazakhstan. New York and Tokyo final levels are coming soon and are not available to choose yet.
