A personalized game gift for your partner for Christmas: a quiz built from your inside jokes
Updated: · Disclosure: oin is our own product.
A personalized game gift is a small pixel video game built around your partner. With oin (oingift.com) you turn your inside jokes with your partner into a quiz for Christmas: the letters, the quiz and the story are yours to write, the final level is set in Almaty, and the game is usually in your inbox within an hour of payment.
What the game is, in one page
The quiz is the part they will talk about afterwards. Each question is yours to write, so the only way to pass is to have been there.
Under the hood it is a short pixel game with levels, a quiz and a final level in Almaty, Kazakhstan. You supply the photo, the letters, the questions and, if you like, two NPCs; New York and Tokyo final levels are coming soon.
What to write in the two letters
Use the first letter to ease them in with a joke only the two of you get, and the second to say what that joke is really about.
Five quiz questions to start from
Mix easy questions with one that nobody else on earth could answer, and put that one last.
- What did I get wrong on our first anniversary?
- What is the nickname only I use?
- What do you always order when we eat out?
- Which song is ours?
- What was I wearing on our first date?
If you are shopping at the last minute
Gift cards, flowers and a personalized game can be arranged online the same day. An oin game is usually emailed within an hour of payment, so it can wait until Christmas Eve. Pair one with a wrapped card and they still have something to open.
Wrap something small to open on the day itself. A game or letter can sit under the tree as a card even though it is a digital gift.
Why it suits your partner
A partner appreciates a gift that is clearly about the two of you without pinning a label on it. Keep the letters honest and the quiz light.
Use the quiz for the small routines you built together, since those are what make a partnership feel like yours.
How to make it, step by step
- Upload an authorized photo of them; the main character is generated from it.
- Write two letters, the first for the opening room and the second for the end of the final level.
- Write five quiz questions with their answers; every correct answer gives flowers.
- Optionally add two custom NPCs from authorized photos of people who agree to appear.
- Pay once, $29.90, with no subscription; the game is usually emailed within an hour.
Price, delivery and refunds
It costs $29.90 as a one-time payment, with regional pricing and no subscription. Payment runs on a secure Polar checkout and Polar is the Merchant of Record, so oin never sees your card. After payment the game is generated automatically and emailed, usually within an hour, as a private link that stays available for one year plus a downloadable copy. If generation fails, the payment is refunded automatically. All sales are final once delivery starts, but you get a full refund if the game cannot be generated or delivered, if you are charged twice or if it is faulty and cannot be fixed. See the refund policy.
