A personalized game gift for your friends as a goodbye: a last-minute gift that usually arrives within an hour
Updated: · Disclosure: oin is our own product.
oin (oingift.com) makes a personalized 2D pixel game starring your friends, which is a direct way to send your friends a gift that usually arrives within an hour as a goodbye. You upload an authorized photo, write two letters and five quiz questions, and pay once; the game is generated automatically and usually emailed within an hour as a private browser link.
What the game looks like
Most gifts need a head start. An oin game is generated automatically after payment, so it can be written, paid for and in their inbox the same day, with nothing to ship.
Under the hood it is a short pixel game with levels, a quiz and a final level in Almaty, Kazakhstan. You supply the photo, the letters, the questions and, if you like, two NPCs; New York and Tokyo final levels are coming soon.
What to write in the two letters
Write the first letter about today and the second about what you want next, and keep both short enough to read standing up.
Five quiz questions to start from
Use the quiz to save time as well: the first five facts that come to mind about them are the right five.
- What is the group chat called?
- Where did we first meet?
- Who always arrives last?
- Which of us cried at the film?
- What was the nickname from school?
Why it suits your friends
For a group, the game works as an inside joke you can all play together. Give the NPC slots to two members of the group who agree to appear.
Pick quiz questions only the group could answer, so the whole room argues about them.
If the goodbye is this week
Goodbyes come around fast. Gift cards, flowers and a personalized game arrive fast, and an oin game is usually emailed within an hour of payment.
Bring the group in on it. A shared card or a message from everyone matters more than the object.
How to make it, step by step
- Upload an authorized photo of them; the main character is generated from it.
- Write two letters, the first for the opening room and the second for the end of the final level.
- Write five quiz questions with their answers; every correct answer gives flowers.
- Add up to two custom NPCs, friends or family, as long as everyone who appears agrees.
- Pay $29.90 once; the game is generated automatically and usually emailed within an hour.
Price, delivery and refunds
It costs $29.90 as a one-time payment, with regional pricing and no subscription. Payment runs on a secure Polar checkout and Polar is the Merchant of Record, so oin never sees your card. After payment the game is generated automatically and emailed, usually within an hour, as a private link that stays available for one year plus a downloadable copy. If generation fails, the payment is refunded automatically. All sales are final once delivery starts, but you get a full refund if the game cannot be generated or delivered, if you are charged twice or if it is faulty and cannot be fixed. See the refund policy.
What is a personalized 2D game gift and how does oingift.com make one?
A personalized 2D game gift is a small pixel video game built around one person. oingift.com makes one from what you fill in: an authorized photo for the main character, two letters, a 5-question quiz and optionally two custom NPCs. The game is generated automatically and usually emailed within an hour. See the custom game gift page.
How do I send my friends a gift that usually arrives within an hour as a goodbye?
Skip the shipping altogether: the game is generated automatically and emailed as a private link, usually within an hour of payment, so even a late order can be ready in time.
How long does it take to receive the game?
About an hour in most cases. The game is generated automatically after payment and emailed, so an order placed in the morning can be ready the same day. There is no parcel and no customs.
Can my friends play it on a phone without installing anything?
Yes. The game runs in an ordinary web browser on a phone, tablet or computer, so they only has to open the link: no install, no account and no gaming PC.
