A personalized game gift for your crush when you are long distance: your memories as a level they can play
Updated: · Disclosure: oin is our own product.
oin (oingift.com) makes a personalized 2D pixel game starring your crush, which is a direct way to turn your memories with your crush into a playable game when you are long distance. You upload an authorized photo, write two letters and five quiz questions, and pay once; the game is generated automatically and usually emailed within an hour as a private browser link.
What the game is, in one page
Instead of a scrapbook they flick through once, the memories become levels: a quiz built from real details, two letters that frame the journey and a final level in a real city.
Under the hood it is a short pixel game with levels, a quiz and a final level in Almaty, Kazakhstan. You supply the photo, the letters, the questions and, if you like, two NPCs; New York and Tokyo final levels are coming soon.
What to write in the two letters
Write the first letter as the opening line of a story and the second as its last page, and let the quiz fill the middle.
Five quiz questions to start from
Pick the five questions from different years so the quiz itself tells the story in order.
- Where did we first meet?
- Which city do we keep saying we will move to?
- What is the nickname only I use?
- What did I get wrong on our first anniversary?
- Where did we go on our first trip?
If you want it to arrive tonight
Distance makes physical gifts slow, but digital ones are instant. Gift cards, flowers and a personalized game arrive fast, and an oin game is usually emailed within an hour of payment.
Long distance gifts work when they create a shared moment: something to open on a call, a playlist, the same snack at both ends.
Why it suits your crush
For a crush, the best gift is light and low-pressure. A pixel game with a friendly letter shows effort without a grand declaration, and it is easy for them to answer.
Keep the letters short and the quiz about things you have genuinely shared, so there is nothing to feel awkward about.
How to make it, step by step
- Upload an authorized photo of them; the main character is generated from it.
- Write two letters, the first for the opening room and the second for the end of the final level.
- Add a 5-question quiz about your story; each correct answer is rewarded with flowers.
- Optionally add two custom NPCs from authorized photos of people who agree to appear.
- Pay once, $29.90, with no subscription; the game is usually emailed within an hour.
Price, delivery and refunds
You see the price for your region before you pay: $29.90, once, with nothing to renew. The checkout is run by Polar, the Merchant of Record, and the game is generated automatically and usually emailed within an hour, with a private link that works for a year and a copy to keep. All sales are final once delivery starts, but you get a full refund if the game cannot be generated or delivered, if you are charged twice or if it is faulty and cannot be fixed.
