A personalized game gift for your brother for Thanksgiving: a quiz built from your inside jokes
Updated: · Disclosure: oin is our own product.
To turn your inside jokes with your brother into a quiz for Thanksgiving, give him a personalized 2D pixel game from oin (oingift.com). He becomes the main character, generated from an authorized photo, and your two letters and a 5-question quiz about your shared memories are built into the levels. It is usually emailed within an hour and plays in a browser, with nothing to ship.
What the game is, in one page
Inside jokes make a relationship hard to explain to anyone else, which is why they make a good quiz. oin turns five of them into questions that gate the levels, with flowers for every right answer.
The story is built from what you fill in: an authorized photo for the main character, two letters, a 5-question quiz with flowers for correct answers and up to two custom NPCs. The final level is set in Almaty, Kazakhstan; New York and Tokyo are coming soon.
What to write in the two letters
Use the first letter to ease him in with a joke only the two of you get, and the second to say what that joke is really about.
Five quiz questions to start from
Mix easy questions with one that nobody else on earth could answer, and put that one last.
- What was the family pet called?
- Which song played in the car?
- Which holiday do we still talk about?
- Who always loses at the board game?
- What did we get wrong about the road trip?
If Thanksgiving is tomorrow
Gift cards, flowers and a personalized game can be arranged online the same day. An oin game is usually emailed within an hour of payment, so it can go on the table with the dessert.
Thanksgiving is about gratitude, so a thank-you note is a gift in itself. Say what you are grateful for, and why.
Why it suits your brother
A brother rarely asks for anything, which is the best reason to give him something. A game that casts him as the hero and quizzes him on family stories is easy to accept.
Keep the tone dry and the last line sincere, the way brothers prefer it.
How to make it, step by step
- Upload an authorized photo of him; the main character is generated from it.
- Write the two letters: one opens the game, one closes the final level.
- Add a 5-question quiz about your shared memories; each correct answer is rewarded with flowers.
- Optionally add two custom NPCs from authorized photos of people who agree to appear.
- Pay once, $29.90, with no subscription; the game is usually emailed within an hour.
Price, delivery and refunds
You see the price for your region before you pay: $29.90, once, with nothing to renew. The checkout is run by Polar, the Merchant of Record, and the game is generated automatically and usually emailed within an hour, with a private link that works for a year and a copy to keep. All sales are final once delivery starts, but you get a full refund if the game cannot be generated or delivered, if you are charged twice or if it is faulty and cannot be fixed. See the refund policy.
